Senior-Friendly TV Remote

Maybe the user can't understand multi-function regular tv remotes. Technology is getting more complicated all the time.

TV remote that won't easily confuse elderly - may help early Alzheimer's patients

This world isn't just for the tech savvy and the young. In fact, there are probably more elderly people watching tv than young people, and they shouldn't be excluded by confusing tv remote controls.

Senior-friendly, makes tv easy again
The TV Big Button Remote Control for elderly people that makes tv watching easy again. This is a senior friendly TV remote control, it eliminates the confusing unnecessary buttons from the regular remote control and makes the buttons bigger to help people with low vision, hand tremors, MS and Cerebral Palsy - you probably won't have to put your glasses on to see the buttons on this TV Big Button Remote Control either. People with Cerebral Palsy have one or more tight muscle groups which limit their movements and can have trouble moving fingers - the simpler senior friendly TV remote control for elderly people can make the remote easier to use for people with other medical medical problems too, like arthritis.

Use a single remote - simplify your life
This senior friendly tv remote allows you to use a single remote for your TV, cable, satellite or DTV box. Multiple setup options makes it virtually universal. Simplify your TV viewing - simplify your life. Easy access up to 30 channels, just program 30 of your favorite channels and pull them up quickly by just touching a button. Kid and babysitter friendly.

Remote too technical, too difficult to understand?
Do elderly members of your family have difficulty watching TV because their remote is too technical for them to understand? Do you get calls in the evening to come fix the TV? Does your elderly relative with memory problems or early Alzheimer's press the wrong button and end up stuck in some weird tv mode and can't get out? The easy TV Big Button Remote for elderly people has a programming lock that prevents the accidental change of stored programs. The case also slides shut over buttons to help keep curious fingers out. Finally, a TV remote that allows the senior/elderly members of the family with memory issues or early Alzheimer's live independently, making them and you feel better knowing that they can watch TV themselves without requiring assistance. Saves family caregiver time when they don't have to be constantly handling the tv for their family member.

Can this be used for NETFLIX?
NO. This simple tv remote is designed to be easy to use - more features and functions will make it more complicated like a regular remote, defeating its purpose for simplicity. It does NOT have the required buttons to use on-demand Netflix.

Gift for grandparents
This simple tv remote is the perfect gift for grandparents. It makes watching tv easier for those older folks that prefer simplicity.

Digital TV
A question we are frequently asked is whether this remote works with
DIGITAL TV. The manufacturer tells us yes, it does. It works whether coming in directly to the TV, or through a TV transponder.

Will one remote work 2 different TVs?
According to the manufacturer,
If you use the same code yes. For example, two Sony TVs with the same STBs (set top boxes). Otherwise, two Flipper remotes would be required.

Remote Dimensions
Flipper is 7.5" x 2.5" x 1.0"
MAIN BUTTONS are about .6" x .75"

Macular Degeneration Recommendation
If purchasing for someone with severe Macular Degeneration, I recommend drawing out the dimensions of the main buttons to be sure they are adequate in size for someone with very low vision. The programming buttons are smaller and would probably need to be programmed by someone with normal vision.

Does Flipper work with Home Theater Systems?
The FLIPPER is designed for simplicity, it is NOT designed to work with Home Theater Systems. For example, if you are using a Bose or other home theater system product for the sound to go through, it would not work. NO GUIDE BUTTON. It will not work the DVR

This easy remote supports all major devices including:
  • TVs: Sony, Samsung, Panasonic, Dynex, Vizio & more...
  • Cable / SAT: Comcast, Time Warner, Verizon, Cox, Direct TV, Dish, Motorola, Cisco and more
  • Flipper will operate a tv that uses an antenna
  • New mini cable boxes

Does Flipper work with DISH TV?
Yes, the manufacturer indicates that this remote supports Satellite systems.

Does Flipper work RF (Radio Frequency) cable boxes?
Flipper is an IR, Infra Red. So Flipper does not work the RF (Radio Frequency) boxes.

Senior remote December 9, 2018
Reviewer: grace from lancaster, OH United States
I ordered your remote for my mother.  It is a good concept, however we were not able to keep it working successfully.  There seemed to be a problem with it keeping the TV on and we would have to get the other remote to start the tv and then use your remote to change channels.  The idea was to have one simple remote for all.  I am sad that this wasn't the complete answer and have already sent it back to you for a refund.

TV Remote control & Alzheimer's phone October 11, 2015
Reviewer: Linda Rorer from Pleasant Garden, NC United States
We ordered 2 for our mothers.  I have only activated 1 so far for my 94 year old mother in law.  It is FANTASTIC!!!!! When they added the little box for cable the new remote was terrible.  Way to small and too many buttons for her to understand.  She was able to use your remote on first try.  We previously ordered the Alzheimer's phone and it has exceeded all expectations. I highly recommend your products to everyone.  We even told the facility where she lives they need to spread the word to other residents families.

Flipper TV Remote Control Works in Ontario, Can August 4, 2014
Reviewer: Gail Myhr from Montreal West, QC Canada
It could be faster at changing channels (it is rather slow at sending the next/prev channel signal to the cable box) but ît certainly succeeds in simplifying the interfaçe. I'd give it an 8 out of 10 and would recommend it to remote challenged tv watchers.

Locking the flipper May 28, 2014
Reviewer: adele bird from Calgary, AB Canada
I love this remote. It is very easy to use. My only issue is not being able to lock your chosen preset channels. However, saying that, my mother has now been using it for a week and she's as happy as a clam! So overall, thank you Flipper!
