Big Button Home Phone for Visually Impaired & Tremors

Designed With Elderly In Mind - Low Vision - Hand tremors

Finally, an easy to use big button phone for visually impaired and people with tremors. This phone for seniors and those with Macular Degeneration is great for home, nursing home or assisted living use. This low vision phone is amplified up to 40dB using the volume control on the handset and is hearing aid compatible. Also extremely useful for those with shaky hands such as occurs in Parkinson's and Essential Tremors. The big buttons make dialing more accurate.

Store Key On Bottom Of Phone Prevents Accidental Tampering
What makes this phone suitable for the elderly and those with senility or dementia is that the store key is on the back of the phone so as to prevent programmed memory from accidentally being erased or changed. Dementia and Alzheimer patients have a tendency to play with the buttons on a phone, causing havoc, this phone helps prevent that issue with using a small switch on the back of the phone.

911 Emergency Button
There is a RED 911 Emergency Key - if used at home, you could keep it programmed for 911 - but if used in a nursing home you could program it for the nurses or receptionist desk as needed to prevent calls going unnecessarily to 911.

Disconnect 911 For Nursing Homes/Assisted Living Facilities
Just disconnect use of the 911 key by programming in any other number you want to use or just the digit"1" into this key, as directed in the user manual.

Speed Dial Buttons And Memory Buttons
There are 2 one-touch speed dialing buttons and 10 two-touch memories for speed dialing that have their memories backed up for life even if the phone is unplugged from the line. The color of the phone is off white, it is both desk and wall mountable. The dimensions are: L 8" X W 7" X H 3" NO RESTOCKING FEE ON RETURNED TELEPHONES

Phone Installation Requirements
This phone requires a standard telephone line, it won't work with cable.

Desk/Table or Wall Mountable
Nothing to buy if you want to mount on the wall except a nail if you don't have one. Just put a nail (nail should have a head on it to keep phone from falling off) in the wall and hang the phone. There does need to be a phone jack somewhere in the vicinity within reach of the telephone cord. No adapter, NO wall plate required.

We ordered this product for my husband's 95 year old mother. We needed a simple, easy-to-use phone that was not cordless! This phone is exactly what we wanted. The recipient is using it, and we are happy about the product.

Preliminary Review of Product August 13, 2014
Reviewer: Gary Noseworthy from Newmarket, NH United States
The phone has only been in use one week, It has been well-received by the 89 year old user and seems to be just right for the purpose. The ease of use, large numbers buttons, the few and simple options buttons, and volume control are perfect for the situation.
