Zephyr Travel Hearing Aid Dryers are lightweight and portable weighing just over a pound, one pound 4 ounces to be precise - making it easy to keep up your hearing aid maintenance when you travel. When traveling today, you want lightweight since the airlines charge extra for overweight suitcases, and the Zephyr Travel Hearing Aid Dryers have universal voltage - you can take them anywhere internationally, just use the appropriate plug adapter.
Zephyr Travel Hearing Aid Dryers hold up to 2 ear-level cochlear implant processors, microphones, noise/tinnitus masking products, ear monitors or 4 BTE (behind the ear) hearing aids or one body-worn processor. These hearing aid maintenance devices are extremely quiet and they are NOT complicated to use. Besides removing moisture from the hearing aid, they also dry the ear wax allowing the wax to be brushed off easily with the brush provided. The opposite is true with moist earwax because it is sticky and difficult remove. When the hearing aid is clogged with wax its performance drops. When you perform hearing aid maintenance yourself, you save the money and time that would be involved if you had to drop your hearing aids off at the audiologist's office for cleaning or repair. When your hearing aids are in the shop, they aren't in your ear, causing you to miss important information and be less safe when driving.
The Zephyr Travel Hearing Aid Dryers use a desiccant and the batteries don't have to be removed from the hearing aids while being dried. One Dry-Brik II desiccant is included and lasts about 2 months. The Dry-Brik II has a built-in indicator that lets you know when you are due for a new desiccant.
Hearing aid maintenance is a wise investment because damp hearing aids do not perform well and your expensive hearing aids may not last as long as they would if they were maintained. NOTE: Zephyr Travel Hearing Aid Dryers do not have the germicide UV light/cycle and do not kill germs.
NOTE: Zephyr Travel Hearing Aid Dryers require desiccant to dry the hearing aid.

Desiccant
In
most locations around the world, the Zephyr ships with the custom
Dry-Brik® II desiccant. The Dry-Brik contains an aggressive sorbent (mol
sieve) packaged in an attractive, molded, disposable container. Each
Dry-Brik has a shelf-life of at least one year, unopened. Once the foil
label is removed, the Dry-Brik II lasts two (2) months. Replacement
desiccants are inexpensive and are available from Dry & Store
distributors. The desiccant also absorbs odors as it dries. In some
countries the Zephyr ships with an oven rechargeable metal canister
desiccant. Both types of desiccants are available as accessories, and
Dry & Store Global II operates well with either, though a can-type
does not provide the deodorizing function that the Dry-Brik provides.
Battery Removal
Batteries
do not have to be removed from hearing aids before using Zephyr by Dry
& Store. Independent tests by Eveready Battery Co. on their
Energizer/Amplifier® batteries showed a 10-20% gain in battery life
under high (85% RH) humidity conditions, and no decrease in life at
normal (50% RH) conditions. This was confirmed by a user survey which
showed that over 50% of users experienced longer battery life. Safety & Regulatory
Certified to UL & CSA standards. CE marked.
Warranty
One
year in USA and Canada. Proof of purchase required. Outside of North
America, refer to warranty terms provided by distributor.
