The Serene Innovations High Definition HD-30P Amplified Photo Phone is also an excellent phone for memory loss and low vision. It is easy to place the pictures under the plastic cover, and the plastic cover is hinged for easy removal. A photo phone is programmed to dial the telephone number corresponding to the photo or symbol that you place under the cover. If you choose to include symbols, it could be a medical symbol, or fire symbol, even a photo of a fire truck. You could use the numbers 911 or a photo of an emergency vehicle. This can be used for anything from a sentimental, fun way to dial family and friends to a necessity for those with memory loss or early Alzheimer's, with your choice of photos or symbols that mean the mean to your senior/elderly family member.
This phone amplifies 26+dB, or 20x the sound coming in over the phone normally. You can also increase the speech frequencies that you have a problem hearing - making the words clearer and more understandable.

NOTE: The HD-30P Photo Phones make great seniors phones. The Serene Innovations High Definition HD-30P Amplified Photo Phone is hearing aid compatible. No adapter is needed as it is line powered. Line powered also means that the phone won't go out when electrical power is lost because line powered phones get their electricity from the phone company & they have battery banks to generate electricity. Cordless phones, on the other hand have cordless handsets that have to have batteries. The cordless phone also has a base - that is plugged into the electrical outlet. If there is a power outage - there is no electricity to the base - and the cordless handset won't work unless it has back-up batteries.  We ship once a week to Canada, on Thursdays. If order is in by 3pm MST on Wednesday, it will ship on Thursday. NO duty/NO tax. Special flat shipping rates only apply to USA.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Line powered phones get their power from telephones lines. You will probably not be able to use 2 amplified phones at the same time (2 people on the same conversation) without one of the amplified phones making a squealing noise. The reason: amplified phones use more electricity - and usually can't draw enough electricity from telephone lines to use 2 at one time, even in different rooms.

CAUTION: We do not recommend using the preset Boost Override Button/Switch if there is more than one person living in the same household unless they also require amplification. Preset Boost Override means that the preset amplification will stay on, even after the phone is hung up. If a normally hearing person picks up the phone with Boost Override enabled, the high amplification may damage the hearing of the normally hearing person.
