The CSC48 HearingEasy CSC48 big button phone for seniors features amplification, a large keypad, 16 digit large LCD display and 3 one-touch speed dial buttons for easy use, with an adjustable 40dB (decibel) handset amplification.  When the phone is placed back into the cradle, the boost volume will be reset automatically to normal.  There is also last number redial.

There is also a visual ringer which is handy in a phone for seniors.  A phone with a visual ringer is good next to the bed because if the phone rings at night the phone will easily be seen and there is less likelyhood that medicines the alarm clock or a water glass will get knocked over in the dark if you can easily find the phone. 

This big button phone is easy to use and is great phone for seniors and elderly - The big buttons help people with hand tremors due to Parkinson's or MS, or loss of vision to dial more accurately which helps with independence.  Frequently small keys on a telephone can cause mistakes when dialing, causing confusion, and frustration, this phone solves that problem.  Enables seniors and elderly to stay connected to family and friends and makes using a phone which is a basic necessity less daunting and helps with self confidence and independence.  Good not only for hearing loss, but also vision loss (big keys) and simple to use helps reduce confusion from memory loss.  There is also 1 emergency one-touch button.

The ringer volume can be set for off, low, or high.  This big button phone can be placed on a table, desk or mounted on the wall.  This phone is hearing aid compatible and can be used with telecoils.  A senior product that is a very simple phone and is good for seniors with memory loss, or early Alzheimer's

NOTE:  This phone is line powered.  This means the phone can be used during power outages because line-powered phones get their power from the telephone lines.  However, generally only one amplified line-powered phone can be in use at one time.  Amplified phones draw more energy so only one amplified line-powered phone can be used at a time, otherwise the 2nd one may squeal.  This works in a one person household, or if only one person needs to be on a conversation.

NOTE:  BOOST AMPLIFICATION - the receiver volume can be boosted up to 40 decibels during a telephone conversation.  Press the Boost key, and the Boost LED will light - red.  Then, when you replace the handset receiver in the cradle, the boost volume will be reset to normal automatically.  ** This simple phone for seniors that need amplification is recommended for those elderly persons who can understand that the boost amplification button needs to be pushed for more amplification.

IMPORTANT:  If purchasing for an elderly relative that may have memory issues, or difficulty with technology, the boost button might not be understood well, and may not know how to turn it on.  We recommend phones for seniors with dementia or early Alzheimers have a pre-set boost button - available on other phones we sell.  This allows the boost amplification to be pre-set and it stays at that amplification even after the phone is hung up.  This is best in homes with only 1 person, as a normal hearing person could damage their hearing if they picked up a phone with the boost pre-set high.
